Special Response Team

The Hickory Hills Police Department Special Response Team is a specialized unit within the Department that responds to critical incidents in support of Patrol and Investigative operations. The Special Response Team is called upon when more than the traditional Police response is needed. Such incidents include service of high risk arrest warrants, execution of search warrants, surveillance, narcotics operations and any other incident that would benefit from the training and equipment that the team utilizes. The goal of the Special Response Team is to resolve these incidents with the highest degree of tactical precision, safety and professionalism. Team members receive advanced training in areas of firearms, vehicle assaults, bus assaults, narcotics raids, building clearing, specialty weapons, first aid, hostage negotiations and close quarter combat. The current Team is made up of nine members of the Department whose primary assignments include patrol, investigations and traffic. The Special Response Team is yet another way that the Hickory Hills Police Department provides the best police service to the residents and visitors of our community.
