May is Click It or Ticket month. You will probably notice more police cars making traffic stops during the month of May. Police agencies all throughout Illinois will be taking part in this annual effort to increase seat belt safety awareness. Please wear your seat belt and make certain that you properly secure your children. On Saturday, May 10^th, the Hickory Hills Police Department and the Illinois State Police will have a child safety seat inspection station set up in the parking lot of the Jewel Food Store located at 9528 S. Roberts Road. The event will run from 10am until 1pm. Parents, grandparents, and anyone who has a baby seat in their vehicle are invited to stop by and let certified technicians check to make sure that your child’s safety seat is properly installed. Approx. 90% of the baby seats which are not installed by a certified technician are improperly installed. A few minutes of your time may save a lifetime of regret.
