Click it or Ticket???

If you happened to be on 95th Street near the intersection with Roberts Road on October 26th, you may have seen two of our officers walking between cars. Traffic Officers James Holt and Scott Sodaro were taking part in an unusual “reverse sting” operation. Each year, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, and 7-Eleven graciously donate gift certificates for this event whose aim is to reward drivers and passengers for wearing their seat belts. Within two hours, officers had handed out approximately 1,000 gift certificates for Frostees, Slurpees, French Fries, and Icees. What did you get if you weren’t wearing your seat belt?
